Practice
Lexie works on matters from early-stage assessment and pre-litigation demand letters through active litigation, including drafting persuasive pleadings and motion papers, advancing discovery strategy, and participating in negotiations over settlement terms.
She translates complex legal issues into practical choices and concrete steps, enabling clients to make prompt, clear decisions with an understanding of the business realities.
Background
Before deepening her commercial litigation practice, Lexie gained courtroom and case-handling experience at a U.S. boutique medical malpractice defense firm, representing doctors and hospitals in disputes. There, she was closely involved in discovery, meet-and-confer strategy, motion practice, mediation, hearings, expert witness communications, and trial preparation.
Lexie's earlier practice in Shenzhen focused on construction and real estate disputes, assisting clients in litigation and arbitration. Beyond dispute resolution, she is skilled at drafting and reviewing commercial agreements, including distribution, partnership, leasing, and employment agreements.
She also worked at Beijing Dacheng Law Offices (Dentons) in China, supporting bankruptcy and restructuring matters and providing ongoing legal advisory services to state-owned enterprises on operational issues, employment matters, pandemic-era rent relief, and social insurance issues.
In addition to her litigation background, Lexie worked on compliance projects and enterprise risk management in the Legal Department of TBEA Co., Ltd., supporting internal legal training and employment compliance controls.
